Three of these songs (Mercury, Mars, Uranus) were recorded on a 4 track cassette recorder back in 2005. They were to serve not only as demos in preparation for Feu De Joie's forthcoming full length, but were also intended to be used as a free hand out cd for a winter tour that never entirely materialized. They remained mostly unheard until now. Although super gritty, these demos retain a certain level of charm in the documentation of a band finding their way. The Earth demo was recorded with little more sophistication and definitely comes across that way. It is certainly interesting to compare and contrast these demo versions to the ones on the final record.
